Maintenance

Resharpening Service for Rotary Cutting Tools

With our modern machine park, we can ensure consistent quality even when resharpening cutting rollers and counter-cutting rollers.

Of course, we also provide this service and quality for all third-party products.

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

Grinding

  • Cylindrical grinding: rollers, segments, rings, etc. in inner and outer diameters up to max. ø 850 x 2000 mm long
  • Profile grinding: rollers, segments
  • Surface grinding: bars, discs, knives, etc.

Turning

All materials, max. diameter: 660 x 2000 mm long

Milling

All materials, max. dimensions: length 1500 mm, width 700 mm, height 550 mm

High-Frequency Brazing

Materials: steel, carbide, PCD, and CBN

Metal Spraying

Max. workpiece dimensions: diameter 500 x 1500 mm

Wire EDM

Electrical discharge wire cutting and EDM start-hole drilling in the Aichele wire EDM center with 4- to 5-axis control for machining cutting plates, molds, and electrodes in fully automated operation.

The Result
  • Exceptionally broad range of applications and fulfillment of the highest requirements
  • Travel paths: 350 x 500 mm, cutting height: up to 300 mm
  • Additional start holes can be produced with an EDM drilling machine
  • Drilling in almost all electrically conductive materials; hardness is not relevant
  • Diameter: 0.4 – 2.2 mm, drilling depth ratio: diameter / depth = 1 / 100

Non-Stick Coatings

Non-stick coating can be used wherever sticky materials, such as hot-melt adhesive, glue, etc., are processed and may cause machine components to stick together.

The coatings differ in terms of their heat resistance (180 °C or 260 °C), as well as surface roughness and wear resistance.

Teflon Coatings

  • Temperature-resistant up to max. 260 °C
  • New fluoroplastic coating made from a mixture of various fluoropolymers with metal inclusions
  • Compared to conventional PTFE coatings, improved non-stick properties with the same high temperature application range (max. = 260 °C continuous; max. = 290 °C intermittent)
  • Very high surface tension creates a pronounced non-stick character of the coating
  • Only very few substances adhere to Plasmacoat 4050; adhering materials can be removed easily
  • Physiologically safe and compliant with common regulations of the German Federal Health Office
  • Shows the best values with a total layer thickness of 20-25 μm
  • Low coefficient of friction (Ra approx. 1-3)
  • Optionally available with additional wear protection for longer service life

Silicone Coatings

  • Wear-resistant non-stick coating
  • Temperature-resistant up to max. 180 °C
  • Physiologically safe and compliant with all common regulations of the German Federal Health Office
  • Uniform surface roughness Ra 10-14 μm
  • Very good material carry-over properties
  • Shows the best values with a total layer thickness of 100-150 μm
